Traditional Design: Hopewell Furnace was an early American industrial community that flourished in Pennsylvania from 1771 to 1883, producing iron and iron objects for sale. It is now a part of the National Park System. Our fireback reproduces an original Hopewell trademark design. Functional Beauty: While many people think of our Firebacks as being purely decorative, solid cast iron firebacks first absorb and then radiate the heat directly into the room, making the fireplace much more efficient at heating the house, protecting the firebrick.
Heirloom Quality: Nicely detailed in relief and cast from solid iron, painted in matte black, this fireback measures 23”W x 23”H x 3/4” thick and weighs 48 pounds.
Options: The Hopewell Fireback is designed to rest right on the floor of the hearth, no feet or boots necessary. We have Firebacks in many size and style options, to fit fireplace openings of all sizes, for both new construction and older homes.
