B500k-ohm logarithmic taper potentiometer with Double Pole Double Throw ( DPDT on-on ) push / pull switch. 6mm splined shaft to accept standard push on control knobs.
This switched pot is suited to being used in place of the standard volume pot, although it is personal choice whether you use these taper pots for volume or tone, on a single coil equipped guitar to provide tonal switching options. Typical uses include phase reversal, tone capacitor switching, tone bypass etc.

250K VS 500K

Generally, 500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers and 250Ks are used with single-coil pickups. You can use any value you like, but a 250K will give a slightly warmer tone than a 500K pot. The 250K pot bleeds off some of the high frequencies to ground. A 1 Meg-ohm pot bleeds off even less than a 500K pot, so if you want to hear your guitar "wide open" you may want to try one.
