Ultra-Shear's Metric Spiral Router Bits bring the precision and ease of loose tenon joinery to any shop with a plunge router. These bits are for Festool Domino tenons, available in six sizes: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm. However, you're not limited to using only manufactured Domino tenons. By combining Metric Spirals with Ultra-Shear's Metric Half-Round Bits, you can create loose tenon joints of any width you desire.
High-Performance Up-Cut Spiral Geometry
All six sizes feature up-cut spiral geometry, which efficiently cleans out the mortise and slices the walls to a perfect, glue-ready finish. The 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm bits come with 1/4" shanks, fitting virtually any router and are especially convenient for small routers with plunge bases. For guiding the router, you can build a custom jig, use a pair of router edge guides, or simplify your work with Woodpeckers' Mortising Jig.
Versatility with Larger Bits
The larger 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm bits come with 1/2" shanks, requiring a mid-size or larger router. The 12mm bit features a 50.5mm depth of cut, perfect for 100mm length Dominos. These bits are versatile and can handle a variety of joinery tasks with ease.
Individual and Set Options
The Solid Carbide Metric Spiral Router Bits are available individually, or full sets. The five-piece set includes all sizes compatible with Domino DF-500, while the six-piece set adds the 12mm bit. This flexibility allows you to choose the best option for your specific needs.
