The VARILEX WSF 1800 angle surface finishing and blending tool boasts a powerful 15 Amp, 1710 W motor that has been designed and developed for heavy industrial use. The speed is infinitely adjustable between 2,000 and 7,600 RPM. A tach generator keeps the speed constant, even when the tool is operating at full load. Sensitive variable-speed control makes the VARILEX ideal for use with both flap discs and polishing discs, as well as grinding and cutting wheels, for applications ranging from grinding to blending, pre-polishing and polishing. The variable-speed control doubles the service life of the disc being used, prevents glazing of the disc and heat deformation onthe work piece, drastically reduces the noise level. The VARILEX differs from a conventional angle grinder in its motor design to allow for exceptional performance at low RPM – without motor overheating or burnout. This machine also offers the ability to change discs in seconds, without tools, using the patented EASY-LOCK clamping nut (see accessories) and spindle lock. It also offers optimal speed setting for a range of grinding and polishing tools, yielding perfect results every time and a balanced handle that ensures fatigue-free grinding. The VARILEX is not designed for continuous use at low speed for polishing paint in the automotive trade.
