Unplug the battery connector before replacing the card reader. Handle the game card reader connectors with care since they are fragile. To complete your repair, pair this kit with your favorite thermal compound such as K5 Pro if the existing compound to too dry or brittle.

If your battery is too stubborn to come out, you may need a little isopropyl alcohol (90% concentration or greater, available at your local drugstore) and a lint-free cloth or coffee filter.
