Meets FCC Class B and EN 55022 Class B requirements. The NaviTrack Battery Sonde is a powerful, miniaturized transmitter that can be installed at the end of a fiberglass push cable, duct rod or sewer cable. The Battery Sonde transmits a 512 Hz signal that can be picked up with any compatible locator, allowing users to pinpoint the transmitter's position underground. Simple to operate. Quickly tighten/loosen the battery cover to turn the transmitter. The user will know it is ready with the ON/OFF LED operation/battery status indicator. When the transmitter is ON, the red LED will flash slowly. When there is not enough power for proper operation, the red LED will flash rapidly. If LED does not flash, or if it flashes rapidly, replace the battery. Operates up to four hours on one AAA-cell alkaline battery. This long life prevents the user from needing to stop their underground pipe location, sewer location or other line detection jobs to change a battery. Typical maximum detection range with NaviTrack receiver (varies with ambient noise and interference) is 25 feet in the air and 15 feet in cast iron. Typical interference sources include ductile iron, cast iron, wet, salt laden ground. Since 1923, RIDGID has remained the symbol of certainty to dedicated professionals of the expert trades.
