Module Operating voltage : 5V; Single module can drive the an 8 * 8 dot matrix common cathode.
Included on-chip are a BCD code-B decoder, multiplex scan circuitry, segment and digit drivers, and an 8x8 static RAM that stores each digit. The MAX7219 also allow the user to select code B decoding or no-decode for each digit.
Module size : 5 cm X 3.2 cm wide X 1.5 cm high; 4 holes with four screws, the diameter of 3 mm.
Modules with input and output interfaces, support for cascading multiple modules.
Only one external resistor is required to set the segment current for all LEDs. A convenient 3-wire serial interface connects to all common µPs. Individual digits may be addressed and updated without rewriting the entire display.
