Special Features

  • EXPLORE BLOOD TYPING TECHNIQUES || Introduces learners to the processes involved in ABO/Rh blood typing - the most important and most widely used system for the classification of blood
  • HANDS ON ACTIVITY || This activity allows learners to test and determine the ABO/Rh blood types of 4 simulated blood samples by combining them with simulated antiserums
  • LEARNING CONCEPTS || Demonstration allows learners to understand the role of antigens and antibodies in an immune response, the importance of blood type in medicine and visualize real world techniques used for blood typing and identifying potential agglutination reactions
  • EXCELLENT FOR REMOTE LEARNING || Includes an instruction manual with worksheets and enough materials to perform the experiment three times
  • INCLUDES ALL REQUIRED MATERIALS || Includes four simulated blood samples (Donor 1-4), simulated anti-A serum, simulated anti-B serum, simulated anti-Rh serum and 12 blood typing trays

Description

This kit provides the most procedurally accurate simulation of the blood typing technique available. Learners are able to test and determine the ABO/Rh blood types of four simulated blood samples. Innovating Science's new simulated blood, they are then able to combine the simulated blood samples and antiserums, agitate the blood typing tray, and observe the results. No toothpicks, no stirring, and no waiting for results required. Instruction Manual, activity worksheet, and safety data sheets included. Use gloves while performing tests.
Kit Includes:
4 Simulated Blood Samples (3ml each)
Simulated anti-A serum, 3ml
Simulated anti-B serum, 3ml
Simulated anti-Rh serum, 3ml
12 Blood typing trays
The Science at Home series by Innovating Science is designed to offer engaging activities and educational content to young learners at home. Kits incorporate applied math and science principles into homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology. Innovating Science products, manufactured by Aldon Corporation, include educational kits for the chemistry, life science, green chemistry, advanced placement chemistry, and forensic fields.
