Special Features

  • This product is a current detection module, mainly using the ACS758-LCB current sensor. The ACS758 consists of a precision, low-offset linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper current path close to the wafer. The current applied through the copper current path is capable of generating a magnetic field that can be induced by the integrated Hall IC and converted to a proportional voltage.
  • Device accuracy is optimized by placing the magnetic signal close to the Hall sensor. The accurate, proportional output voltage is provided by a stable chopper-type, low-bias BiCMOS Hall IC that is factory-precisely programmed.
  • The internal resistance of this conduction path is typically 100 μΩ with low power loss. The thickness of the copper wire allows the device to operate under high overcurrent conditions. The terminals of the conduction path are electrically isolated from the sensor pins (pins 1 to 3). In this way, the ACS758 sensor IC family can be used in applications that require electrical insulation without the use of opto-insulators or other expensive insulation techniques.
  • Perform RC filtering on the output and use the op amp to build a voltage follower circuit to make the output more stable and better match the impedance of the A/D channel of the microcontroller. At the same time, two output pins are taken out (direct output and voltage follower output) for easy selection.
  • Detection current range ±50 A.

The relationship between voltage output and current input:
VOUT = VOUT(Q) + Vsens x I
VOUT(Q) is the static output voltage, which is VCC/2, which is the output voltage when there is no input. Vsens is a sensor-sensitive scale, also known as a coefficient. I is the current flowing from IP+ to IP-.
For example, suppose the sensor model is 050B, VCC is 5V, and“I” current is 10A, then the output is 5V / 2 + 40mV / A x 10A = 2.9V.
