Special Features

  • 10 Pack of 5/16-24 x 3/4" Button Head Socket Cap Screws made of pure 18-8 Stainless Steel
  • 18-8 Stainless Steel is a corrosion resistant steel consisting of 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel. This is the most common type of stainless used in fasteners due to it's low cost, corrosion resistance, and strength, as it is considered one of the stronger mild steels available.
  • Resistant to corrosion from fresh water, animal and vegetable fats, acids founds in food, and the chemicals used to clean cooking surfaces. Not recommended for use around salt water as that may cause rust over time.
  • The button head is a relatively thin, wide head that spreads the force of the screw over a large bearing area. The overall shape of the head give the screws a decorative look and makes it safer than screws with sharp edges when being used in exposed areas. The internal hex drive is great for driveability, allowing for quick, secure installation.

A button head cap screw is a cap screw with a button head. Most button head cap screws have hex drives, making them button head socket cap screws.

The allen drive allows the screw to be turned with an allen wrench, meaning button head cap screws can be installed in tighter places than hex cap screws that must be installed with a hex socket or hex wrench.

The button head spreads the force of the screw over a wider bearing area than a socket head cap screw.
