The coupling is a stainless steel 304 forged pipe fitting with 3/4" female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting and extending pipes going in the same direction. Made of stainless steel 304, the low carbon content of this fitting ensures higher corrosion resistance than 302 grade steel. The coupling has NPT threads for creating tighter seals than straight threads.
