The four stage filter kit contains One - 5 Micron Sediment Pre-Filter (WP104017), One - 5 Micron Carbon Pre-Filter (WP101009) made of high quality activated carbon, and One - 10 inch Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Final Filter (WP560010) with fittings
The Sediment Pre-Filter reduces dirt, silt and rust which affect the taste and appearance of your water, the Carbon Pre-Filter reduces chlorine taste and odors and also conditions the water before it is treated by the reverse osmosis membrane and the GAC Final Filter is used after the water storage tank to remove any remaining chlorine or other chemicals that cause bad taste or odor before being dispensed
It is recommended to change out both the Sediment and Carbon Pre-filters every 6 months, and your GAC Final Filter should be replaced annually
