✅ Function: The sealing ring fits around the inside rim of the cover and forms a secure pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure canner during canning and cooking. Replace the sealing ring every two to three years or when the canner is not able to build or maintain pressure. It should also be replaced immediately if the ring has shrunk, become hard, deformed, cracked, worn or pitted.
