Chuck is pre-threaded at 1" x 8tpi (female). The chuck post is threaded at 3/8" x 16tpi (male). After securing your wood or acrylic blank onto the chuck's post, mount the chuck directly on your lathe's headstock spindle and start turning your workpiece.
