The buffing compound will help to refine the edge of your knife, removing very small fragments of the Burr or Wire Edge. Removing these fragments can extend the life of the edge.

2X42 Super Strop Leather Honing Polishing Belt. A 2X42 Leather Strop Strop belt, when used properly with our Made in USA Buffing Compound can leave an incredible mirror polish finish on your knife's edge. You can also do it in a fraction of the time compared to hand stropping. When stropping a knife or tool with a Super Strop, remember to use light pressure and allow the belt to do the work. Move the knife at the same speed you would if you were sharpening with an abrasive belt. The 2X42 in. Super Strop works fast! Make just 2 passes, at a slightly lower angle, on both sides of the knife and check for the burr and test your sharpness. Depending on what grit progression you used, more stropping may be necessary.
