SDS-Plus
SDS-Plus bits have grooves on the shanks that lock securely into the chuck but allow the bit to move back and forth independently of the chuck. They're super easy to insert and remove—no tools required.
Make the Most of Your Current Rotary Hammer
If you already own a rotary hammer and are looking for a heavy-duty drill to bore large holes in wood or mix joint compound, consider buying this chuck with an SDS-Plus chuck adapter. This adapter will allow you to use smooth-shank drill bits, hole saws and mixing paddles.
Drill Mode Only
Most rotary hammers have three settings: drill mode, hammer drill or just hammer. Just remember to keep the setting on drill mode or you could destroy the chuck.
Low RPM Required
The RPM should be adjusted to less than 1000.
For Metal Sheet Less than 2mm in Thickness
SDS-Plus adapter allow you to use twist drills but doesn't make your rotary hammer a real power drill. The grooved end of the SDS-Plus, when connected to the rotary hammer, isn't fixed tightly. It wouldn't be a problem when you drill soft materials like wood. However, if you're drilling hard stuff like metals, the vibration during work will have the chuck move back and forth. So, don't drill thick metals.
Long Life
All-metal chuck withstands heavy daily use
