It is more than 20 years ago that the two company founders and friends Lars Engels and Marco Freudling set off together as backpackers to many countries around the world. On their tours they learned to appreciate not only themselves but also the advantages of military clothing and equipment. These experiences and their enthusiasm for functionality were the initial spark that led them to found Brandit.
So they developed products that were not only functional but also fashionable, and gradually a fan base for individual clothing developed.
