A: Possibly, depending on the situation, the dent, and the surface of the downspout. These suction cups are specifically meant to be used on a smooth surface, such as glass. They do work for many automotive dents. So if your downspout is smooth they might, if not then they probably won't.
Q:Can this be used on a metal surface?
A:It was only designed to work on a glass surface, so it might not work on metal. Metal surfaces tend to be too abrasive for a clean suction to be made. However, you're welcome to try it out!
