JJC LH-47 bayonet lens hood is specifically designed for use with Nikon's 50mm f/1.8G AF-S and 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Lenses. It prevents unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. This dedicated lens hood is designed to perfectly match the specific focal length of the lenses it was designed for. Moreover, the hood features a non-glare matte finish on the interior surface to further prevent or limit lens flare. Besides, no vignetting will be caused with the hood on. The hood can also be placed backwards over the lens for a more compact storage solution. It allows you to attach a lens cap or a filter while the hood is in place. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. JJC LH-47 lens hood replaces NIKON HB-47.
