The Foto&Tech Camera Tether is designed for additional security in conjunction with the Sling Strap. One end loops around your camera's strap loop connector, and a carabiner at the other end locks around your Sling Strap. In case the Sling Strap comes loose from the camera's tripod mount, the Camera Tether can prevent your camera from falling. This small inexpensive item can save a lot of money in the long run should the main strap attachment ever fails. The cord is made from lightweight durable fiber, and the carabiner with a hex nut screw lock is made from stainless steel. Total length including the 1.5-inch metal clip is approximately 12 inches.
