Tips On How to Maintain Your Lens Ring Filters:
Make sure that each filter adapter ring is lubricated properly. Opt for dry-silicone lubricant to avoid dirt or dust particles from collecting in between the rings.
Use Q tips to swab in between rings. They are small enough to effectively do the job.
When separating the rings, unscrew each carefully.
When you screw them back together, First align the threads and estimate when mounting. This makes installation easier. Turn each ring counterclockwise until you feel the ring pop back into the thread.
Next, continue by turning the ring clockwise, but do not tighten like a lug nut on a car wheel, just "snug" it together.

Note: When installing, be careful as these filter adapters have precise threads. DO NOT CRACK DOWN SUPER TIGHT. Lightly snug these down to your lens and filter.
