With 8 MIDI ports available, each can function as either a MIDI input or a MIDI output. This replaces traditional MIDI interfaces, such as its popular predecessor models with 4 inputs and 4 outputs, while also offering other configuration possibilities.
Have the flexibility to use up to 8 outputs or up to 8 inputs simultaneously, or 6 outputs and 2 inputs for instance. This configuration is handled automatically, based on your connections to other MIDI inputs or outputs. Each automatic input/output configuration is visually represented by colored LEDs on the front panel.
Features a USB 3.0 hub with three connectors, accommodating other USB equipment like software dongles, USB keyboards, and more. This feature transforms the device into the central hub for all your MIDI and USB musical instrument devices.
Not only does this Windows 7/8.1/10/11 and macOS compatible device guarantee impeccable timing and the lowest latency in its class, but it can also function standalone, without a computer. Various operation modes allow signal routing from input to output, merging of MIDI signals, or using the M4U eX as a MIDI thru box. You can easily select these modes with a simple button push when required.
