Get more tonal bliss from our custom specified 525k pots. These are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard by CTS and are specified to a higher than common 525K Ohms and metered at 5% tolerance. The higher resistance and superbly tight 5% tolerance means that you will avoid the exceptionally low or high metering pots that can occur with common 500K 20% tolerance pots. Pots in this set typically meter from 500K to 551K, with the majority of them metering closer to the 525K mark. We're very pleased with these pots know you will be too! The pots are audio taper, with a solid brass bushing and shaft, 3/8-32 US thread 3/8" (short shaft) bushing height Split, fine 24-tooth knurled shaft .236 inch diameter shaft. Each pot comes with hardware including nut, dress washer and lock washer. A 3/8" diameter mounting hole is required for proper installation. The pot is manufactured by CTS specifically for The Art Of Tone (TAOT), Part # 450S525KXL TAOT. Note: 1. If you are uncertain whether your guitar uses short (3/8") or long (3/4") shaft pots, as a general rule this pot will fit most USA-made Gibson Les Paul's manufactured before 1977, Gibson historic reissues, PRS and Hamer guitars, but please double check before you order. 2. Make sure to pinch the tip of the shaft before you try fitting a knob, this will avoid getting knobs stuck before you install the pot. If you've ever had that happen... 3.
