Made in the USA by CRL, the original supplier to Fender in the 1950s, this is the direct descendant of the original, and is considered the premium 5-way lever switch on the market. Improved design captures the switch contacts so they cannot rotate about their rivets like the vintage switches can. External spring ensures very positive engagement.
Fender moved to Oak-Grigsby switches several decades ago in the interest of saving money. The Oak switches are made in Mexico where manufacturing costs are lower.
