The centering indicator is designed as a precision measuring instrument for locating a work piece by the pointer while the spindle rotates when the spindle rotates.
The indicator always face the operator.

The curve feelers is for use on outside diameter measurement.
The center point feeler is for use on center punch marks.
In use the spring loaded point should be depressed into its housing 1/32" to 1/16"
