Optiphen is a clear liquid and a great preservative to use when you are making lotions, as it helps to keep them nice and creamy. Optiphen is a natural broad-spectrum preservative for cosmetics that can be easily added directly to the formulation during pre- or post-emulsification at or below 60 degrees C(140 degrees F). There are no ph restrictions in formulating with Optiphen. Optiphen is compatible with most ingredients used in the personal care industry.

Usage rate: 3-1% of the total weight of the recipe and must be used at temperatures lower than 140 degrees. Optiphen is a paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative. Benefits:
