- Some dolls have harder heads and will require heat to soften or the tac method. If you do not soften harder heads while rerooting, then you run the risk of breaking needles faster.For the tac method use a thumb tac.Push tac in,prepare plug,remove tac,push in plug.The hole will expand preventing the needles from breaking.After 30 plus minutes the hole will shrink down.
