Description
Waypoint Geographic's Como Globe is a desktop globe that measures 12 inches and is illuminated, featuring political landmass mapping and classic antique ocean stylings. It has thousands of up-to-date geographic points of reference, borders, and topographical features. When the globe is illuminated, an internal light enhances the cartographic features, making them stand out and easier to read. Additionally, it exposes some cartographic features such as old ship routes that are not visible when the illumination is off.
The globe is supported by a well-appointed hardwood lens-shaped stand, which includes a metal numbered semi-meridian indicating the number of degrees north or south of the equator a point of interest is located. It is one of the most interesting finds for decorating any home, office, or library. The globe's cord exits at the attachment between the globe and meridian at the south pole and includes an inline switch for easy on/off functionality. The light bulb is also easy to change, and instructions for doing so are included. The assembled globe measures 15“ H x 13” W x 12“ D.
