Inventor Clare Rowley, invented this foot in the mid 1980's for a blind sewer that was learning tailoring at the Braille Institute. If she could sew perfectly with this foot so can you. Finish the raw edge with a beautiful satin stitch, (impossible before.), sew perfect; appliques, top stitching, edge stitching, 1/4" seams, scant 1/4",curved fabric like used in Drunkard Path and all shapes can be sewn without risk of stretching fabric or the seam changing as you sew easily around the curves in your quilts and garments. Use Satinedge for stitching in a ditch too. It doesn't stretch your fabric and it fits ALL sewing machines with a zigzag stitch. Satinedge is adjustable allowing you to sew a wide variety of seam widths and adapting easily to all sewing machine's needle positions. The wide opening makes it easy to see without the need for an open toe making it not necessary to hold the fabric down as you sew – ever. This foot offers you a place to look at (white leading edge of guide) taking your eyes off of the needle, making this foot allow you to drive your sewing machine like you drive your car. You look where you're going instead of at the needle and your back, neck, hands and fingers don't hurt as you sew anymore. This foot is used by Nancy Zeiman from Sewing with Nancy, TV Show and has been seen on many TV shows over the last 24 years. Comes with adapters to fit your machine, however Bernina Sewing machines may need a separate low shank or snap on adapter available from your local Bernina Dealer.
