Avoid pressing the dried flower blocks completely into the water, there should be a dry area on the surface of the water so that the air inside can be drained out slowly.
Pressing directly into the water will result in the foam being very dry inside when removed for use on the one hand, and on the other hand it may take a long time to soak all the way through.
The correct approach is to place the flower foam gently in the water and let it soak down naturally.
