Coyote – The Trickster of the Animal Kingdom Once COYOTE nearly drowned and lost all his belongings while crossing the river with his animal friends. Poor COYOTE became very sad … and jealous. So he challenged the other animals to a game to win their possessions. Being an infamous Trickster, COYOTE invented a bluffing game in which everyone has to lie, because nobody knows the truth. Rumor has it that the game was quite similar to this one! In this bluffing game by Spartaco Albertarelli you always see the cards of the others, but never your own. When it's your turn, you must announce a number that is less than the total of all the cards in the game, increasing the previous number. Alternatively, you can challenge the number previously announced. Finally, when all the cards are revealed, it is revealed who has the cunning Coyote on their side. Game box and card backs are decorated with a special metallic print in copper. The artist Zona Evon Shroyer (Yupik Alaskan Native) is a master of the traditional Northwest Coastal art. For the cover illustration she designed a modern silhouette for the coyote.
