  • ▶ DETAILS OF FUROSHIKI: Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese square wrapping cloth that is traditionally used as packaging and carrying bags, especially in Japan. It can be used in multiple ways, for bundling, and a perfect alternative to single-use paper gift wrap. They're gorgeous and any gift recipient would be happy to receive one! Our furoshiki can really transform into just about anything you could imagine!
  • ▶ ECO-FRIENDLY: Furoshiki is ideal for a zero waste objective especially during the Christmas period when gift packaging has a relatively short lifespan. They're fabulous and can be re-used over and over again, and they're brilliant for wrapping just about everything, including odd-shaped gifts (balls, wine bottles, absolutely anything!). The best bit is they're good for the environment, and you can reuse them, and save trees by not using paper gift wrap.
  • ▶ FUROSHIKI AS HANDBAG: With or even without the leather straps, this particular cotton works perfectly as handbag. Fold it in your handbag and extra eco-bag in a second! (Note: The leather straps are sold separately) Care Instruction: Tumble dry on low heat; wash separately or with similar colors. Wrinkliness is part of linen's charm. We do not recommend ironing your linens but if you must, do it on low heat when the garment is still a little damp.
  • ▶ VERSATILE: Our Furoshiki can be use as bento box wrapping fabric, bottle carry wrap, gift wrap, and a lovely tapestry. You can also wrap it in your yoga mat and use it as a blanket during shavasana if you feel a little chilly. You can take it with you on your hiking trip, and use it as a picnic blanket during breaks, and use it to protect your face/head when it's windy, dusty, sunny, or cold. This special Japanese wrapping cloth allows your imagination a chance to run free!

Japanese Hand-Print Screen Print Method

All our FUROSHIKI are handmade in Japan by artisan craftsman using traditional hand-print methods and 100% cotton.

History Of Furoshiki

Japan has an ancient culture, and the FUROSHIKI is one of the tools that Japanese people have used as a part of their daily life for centuries. The FUROSHIKI was first used an incredible 1200 years ago, where it was used to wrap and protect the Emperor's treasure in Nara. Even today, modern Japanese people use this cloth to protect their own valuable objects! The ancient traditions behind using the FUROSHIKI cloth come with this cultural significance imbued in it; Japanese people using wrapping and tying their possessions in a FUROSHIKI are engaging in a timeless ceremony of love, care and respect.

LOVE

When sending a gift to a friend or loved one, wrapping it inside a FUROSHIKI also becomes a deeply thoughtful gift—especially when compared to using carelessly disposable wrapping paper! FUROSHIKI can make a wonderful gift idea for a loved one, or a unique and ecologically-friendly way to store your precious possessions in style. Made from 100% cotton and woven in the traditional manner.
