The wide and long bent gouge BG40 with 1.6 Inches blade and long handle for two hands grip (BG30 1.2 In blade wide) perfectly suits for deep hollow carving - for bowl, kuksa, spoon, ladle, lug etc. production.
BLADE MATERIAL of the woodcarving tool is meticulously hand forged from alloy steel U8 (W1-7) - the stell is professionally hardened to 60 Hrc and the blade is razor sharpened to 22 degrees.
Hardened high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools. It's high strength, wear resistant steel, which keep sharpening for long time of use.
HANDLE MATERIAL of the carving tool - polished and stained with linseed oil oak wood.
