Magnesium is a solid combustible material, it starts with ferro rod, wooden matches or torch lighter, it's the lightest weight fire starter, easy to carry and store in your backpack,BOB,EDC or survival kit.  We suggest using at least 1/3 bag of the whole bag in one time to each starter. Please KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN, PETS and DO NOT use it indoor. It's FORBIDDEN if you extinguish magnesium fire by using water.But dry sand will work.
