Tips for usage:
1.It is important to measure your stoma regularly to ensure you are still getting a good fit. Choosing the Right Size for Your Skin Barrier Failure to provide a snug skin barrier may allow the stoma output to seep into or around, causing leakage.​​​
2.If used for ileostomy,pls change the bag more frequently ,because the ileostomy excrement is in liquid form and has digestive enzymes, it is more irritating to skin than other colostomy.
3.Ensure the skin around the stoma before using the ostomy bag system, apply the stoma skin barrier to clean, dry, shaved skin.
4.Consider using an ostomy belt for additional security.If your ostomy pouch leakage occurs most frequently during physical activity or movement, you may need additional support in the form of an ostomy belt.
5.Make sure you're emptying or changing out your ostomy bag The fuller your ostomy bag gets, the more it weighs down and pulls against the seal around your stoma. Just empty your pouch as soon as it's around 1/3 full.Also, if you primarily experience leaks during the nighttime, be sure to empty your pouch before bed as well.
