The HU5125 Hercules Max Life Up Cut Spiral Router Bit specifications include a 1/2" shank diameter; a 1/2" cutting diameter; and a 1-1/4" cutting length. The bit is 3" in length overall. An up cut spiral bit is designed to send the chips upward (away from your project toward the router motor). Because of this it is ideal for cutting dadoes and channels, because it creates a clean and smooth bottom surface, though a rougher top edge, on your application.
