Two chains come with the tune-up kit. One chain is 27" long and the other chain is 4.5 inches long. The chains are US made T304 Stainless Steel and are made with stainless steel made in the USA. Our chains are the same chains used by the US Military for our soldiers. They are #3 size, 2.4mm ball chains. 4 BLACK MILITARY DOG TAG SILENCERS – Our Dog Tag Tune-Up Kit also comes with 4 brand new black military dog tag silencers to protect the tags and keep them from jingling. PUTTING ON THE SILENCERS - Take your tag and put it in the silencer, hole side first. Hold the silencer on the tag with your thumb and finger while stretching the rest around the tag for a snug fit. Our circle shaped silencers are made to stretch around an oval shaped tag so they fit perfectly. CLOSING THE CHAINS - Put the ball into the connector and pull both sides of the chain away from the connector until the ball ‘snaps' into place. These are tough stainless steel ball chains so sometimes it takes a good tug.
