Ceridwen was an enchantress in Welsh medieval legend. Medieval Welsh poetry refers to her as possessing the cauldron of poetic inspiration (Awen) and the Tale of Taliesin recounts her swallowing her servant Gwion Bachwho is then reborn through her as the poet Taliesin.
