Grip Technology: BUGrip is the name of Icebug's grip technology for the most slippery conditions. A BUGrip sole is made of a special rubber compound and has 13-19 integrated steel studs. This dynamic function makes the studs adapt to the surface and provide the best possible traction on anything from dry asphalt to pure ice.
Water Resitant Technology: Water resistant footwear use materials that are treated or dense enough to repel water. Water resistant products give you protection from foul weather, splashing, and slush. They offer a high level of breathability and the ability to shape better with the foot. To maintain the water resistance treatment of a material, it needs to be taken care of properly.
Upper & Lining Technology: Upper is made of DriTan Nubuck leather. The Nubuck leather upper ages beautifully and is easy to take care off. The ReWool lining is made of 70% recycled wool and 30% recycled PET.
Sustainability is the most important thing we do: Every part of the Metro 2 was created with substantivity in mind. All materials in this boot are tracible through Bluesign and SPOOR technology. Upper is made of DriTan oily nubuck leather that is gold rated by LWG and sourced from Danish Farms. BUGrip sole is created with 20% recycled rubber. Middle and insole created with BLOOM Foam technology from algae biomass that absorbs Carbon, helping Icebug close the production loop.
