Sojourner Truth was an African American evangelist, abolitionist, women's rights activist, and author who was born into slavery. After escaping to freedom in 1826, she preached about equal rights for all. Truth continued her crusade throughout her life, earning an audience with President Lincoln and becoming one of the world's best-known human rights activists. Costume comes with jacket, skirt, dickey, shawl, bonnet, and novelty glasses.
