The distributor cap and rotor kit is located under the car's hood, open the hood and look for a black component near the centre of the engine.
Symptoms of a bad or failing distributor cap: The CEL is illuminated, the vehicle does not start, the engine idles rough. If you find the distributor cap worn out or cracked, replace it immediately.
