Please attention: The 8.8 rear axle first appeared in 1977, and from the '86 onwards, almost all Ford V8 cars, V6 Rangers and Explorers were equipped with the 8.8 rear axle. With millions of them produced and adapted to different models, the threaded holes have sometime been machined a little short. If you are in this case, just had some washers, or replace the screws with some 5mm shorter.
