Special Features

  • DESIGN - Featuring signature Mark Gonzales designs on the front chest of this tee! The word "legend" gets thrown around pretty loosely in skateboarding, but Gonz definitely fits the bill. Gonzales is an American artist and professional skateboarder.
  • GRAPHIC - Screen printed Gonz graphic on the chest. Screen printing is the best option for designs that require a high level of vibrancy. The ink in screen printing is applied thicker than digital printing, which results in brighter colors even on darker shirts and doesn't fade as much as DTG printing.
  • 100% COTTON - This tee is made of 100% pre-shrunk cotton! Cotton is a breathable fabric, which allows your body to stay dry, while your skin is still able to ´breathe´. This ensures staying cool, even on those warmer days in summer.
  • SHORT SLEEVE - Classic short sleeve design tee, perfect for skating during the summer! Complete with a taped neck and shoulders for durability and a tubular rib collar for better stretch and recovery.
  • AUTHENTIC - 100% authentic Thrasher Magazine Tee with signature Mark Gonzales graphic. T-shirt is brand new and comes in original packaging!

Description

Published monthly in San Francisco, CA since January 1981, Thrasher is the longest-running, best-selling skateboard magazine of all time—its name synonymous with both skateboarding's roots and constant evolution. Say “1981” out loud. It may not have the same ring as “1969” or “Y2K,” but that second year of the 1980s was one of historical firsts. But to start the year off, before any of these other events took place, a group of skateboarders in a corner of San Francisco were putting together the first issue of Thrasher magazine.  The title of "Skater of the Year" is awarded annually by Thrasher magazine. The tradition was started in 1990, and the accolade remains one of the most respected awards in global skateboarding culture. The title is bestowed to one skater annually and announced by Thrasher's editor. Chris Cole and Danny Way are the only double recipients. The first recipient was Tony Hawk.
