If you are shortening your brake hoses you will need hydraulic hose insert to use .Brake olives and connection inserts are used to connect brake wires to levers or brake calipers.
Please note:
This is a single use item as the brass olive will deform after use.once the length of the hydraulic hose is changed, a new set of joints and olives must be replaced to prevent leakage.
