Firefly Brand DIY Wine Bottle Oil Lamp Kit including a handblown clear glass flame protector chimney, a 3/8” by 12” Fiberglass Wick and Aluminum Wick Holder. The short end of the wick holder is first inserted into the wine bottle. Then, place the glass globe over the wick. It will rest nicely on top of the ledge of the wick holder. The globe and 3/4"-Diameter wick holder fits most red and white wine bottles.
The wick holder DOES NOT fit Champagne bottles.
We think the size and shape of the globe from a design perspective is more proportional to the wine bottle. The larger globe also allows for a lot of air circulation around the flame which produces a larger flame and reduces smoke and soot. You could also call this a tiki torch kit or wine bottle candle.
We suggest using eco-friendly, non-toxic, biodegradable Firefly Safe and Green Lamp Oil for a smokeless, odorless burn in your wine light. Additionally, we've found that keeping the bottle more than half full produces the perfect flame.
