Function: Knock sensor is a device used to prevent knocking or spark popping. The purpose of the knock sensor is to detect unusual combustion caused by the engine knock or detonation. Eliminate cylinder faults and protect the mechanical components of the engine. A knock sensor is located on the intake manifold, cylinder, or engine block. Please be careful the grime will fall into the cylinders when you replace the knock sensor.
