Horseradish (Cochlearia Armoracia) is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches 40-120 (150) cm tall during flowering. It has large basal rosette of leaves. Horseradish has a powerful many-headed, thick, fleshy, whitish, branched root. Basal leaves are long-leaved, very large. The whole plant is bare. Flowers are collected in multi-flowered brushes. Fruits are oblong elliptic pods (4-6 mm long), in each of the two nests of which four seeds are formed. It blooms in June - July. The fruits ripen in August-September.
