Hit Field Specs are a great training device to help keep the batters head in the proper hitting position. The lower field of vision is blocked so the batter is forced to look a the ball all the way through contact. Can also be used for fielding. It forces the fielder to continue to see the ball into the glove before looking up and throwing. Looking up leads to strikeouts at the plate and errors on the field.
