Panamax Miw-Power-Pro-Pfp Max In-Wall Power Pro2 Recessed Ac Outlets Deliver Power To Remotely Located Devices; Surge Suppression Rating Of 330v; 546 Joules; Power On Indicator Led & Line Fault Indicator Led; Over-Voltage Protection; Includes Protect Or Disconnect Automatic Voltage Monitoring Circuitry & Noise Filtration Circuitry; Brushed Steel; $5 Million, 3-Year Connected Equipment Protection Policy
The PF Power MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP from Panamax delivers safe, protected AC power to flat panel displays, ceiling mounted video projectors and powered sub-woofers. It discreetly hides behind electronic equipment for a neat, clean, code compliant and professional installation.
Discreet In-Wall Protection for Your Home Theater Investment When it's not practical to run an AC line from your home theater rack to a remote display location, the MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP can utilize any branch circuit to deliver safe power to the remote display in a safety-agency-approved, code-compliant manner.
The 15 Amp MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP offers 2 AC outlets with Level 1 EMI/RFI noise filtration for clear, detailed images and crisp sound, while Thermal Fusing, Overvoltage Protection, and Catastrophic Surge circuitry protect sensitive home theater components from damaging power surges and voltage transients. Two recessed AC receptacles deliver power to remotely located devices. The enlarged faceplate (4.5" x 4.5") accommodates oversized wall cutouts.
A power on LED indicates power is being supplied to the MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP outlets. A line fault LED indicates an overvoltage condition with the power to the MIW-POWER-PRO-PFP. Voltage monitoring circuit protects equipment against prolonged over-voltages by disconnecting the power and reconnecting it when safe power returns.
This wall-plate may be used in conjunction with MIW-DUAL-SIGNAL-BAY-PFP and signal line modules (sold separately) for whole-house expandability.
Setup in Five Easy Steps
If you have any experience with basic home wiring installs, installing the POWER-PRO is a simple process. (Note: Only for use with 15 Amp circuits utilizing a minimum of 14 AWG. Make sure the circuit is not live before installation. If you are unsure how to perform this task, please contact an electrician.) STEP 1: Select a location close to the equipment. In the case of a flat panel display, the recommended location is one that is behind the device and hidden from view once the Plasma TV is mounted. Cut a 4" wide by 3 3/4" high hole in the wall for the outlet box.
STEP 2: Run the building wire (e.g. Romex) through a rear opening in the outlet box (not included). No more than 1" of wire sheath should extend into the outlet box. 3" of wire should be able to extend beyond the opening of the outlet box. Install the outlet box in the hole.
STEP 3: Strip building wire. Using the included wire nuts, first connect the ground wires - green insulated on the MlW-Power-Pro-PFP and bare copper on the building wire. Then connect the neutral wires (white), then the hot wires (black).
STEP 4: Neatly fold the AC wires as you install the MIW-Power-Pro-PFP in the outlet box and secure with the included screws.
STEP 5: Turn the power on to the circuit. The blue Power indicator should light up, indicating the outlet is ready for use.
