Special Features
NETWORK EXTENSION: Connect copper networks via fiber optics up to 75 mi. for greater expansion between extended workgroups; a great choice for building-to-building connectivity without the cost and disruption of installing additional routers.. RJ45 port can extend data connection to a network device an additional 330 ft. (100 m) over Cat5e/6/6a cable.
EASIER SETUP AND COMPATIBILITY: SFP slot offers easier integration with your existing fiber cable and connectors ( SFP transceiver not included ); full duplex and half duplex communication with autonegotiation mean fewer adjustments to equipment settings; tri-speed flexibility (10/100/1000 Mbps) for smooth communication between connected equipment through Cat6 Ethernet cable.
TOUGH ENOUGH FOR HARSH PLACES: IP40 rating provides protection from tools and small wires greater than 1 millimeter; supports temperatures between -40 - 185°F; hardened construction includes ratings for shock (IEC 60068-2-27), freefall (IEC 60068-2-32) and vibration (IEC 60068-2-6); DIN-rail mounting option for an easy fit in factories, plants, warehouses and other industrial environments.
TWO DC POWER INPUTS, MORE GREAT FEATURES: Terminal block offers two DC inputs (12 - 56 V) to help mission-critical equipment stay active and available; supports 8k MAC address entries with Auto-learning and Auto-aging; DIP Switch enables Link Fault Pass Through ( LFP or LFPT ) or restrict copper interface speeds to 100 Mbps; includes status LEDs for power, fiber connections, gigabit speed indication and link activity.
Mfg WARRANTY & WHAT'S INCLUDED: 3 Year manufacturer Warranty; Includes Industrial Gigabit Media Converter, DIN-Rail bracket and instructions.
Description
The Intellinet Network Solutions Industrial Gigabit Media Converter offers the network designer a device for migration from copper-based Ethernet to Fiber Ethernet. Now, migration or expansion of existing networks can be achieved with minimum cost and complexity. The converter is completely transparent to the network, so the network performs exactly the way it did before, only now it can support both copper and fiber media. It provides fiber connectivity to Ethernet segments, allowing for even greater networking expansion between extended workgroups. It also provides building-to-building connectivity without the need for the cost and disruption associated with the installation of additional routers.
